Ever have one of those days? I also feel a bit blah, because though I am normally fine and content with the snow, my sister in law, out in L.A., finds it funny (or fun) to send me pictures of her, laying out by the pool with the sun streaming down on her, in January. And then I think that I still have to put 18 layers on to go out and my pants get wet from walking to and from the car. So bleh. I want dry ground.
So, since I am feeling mediocre, I thought I would list the things that were good in my day, so I don't feel so bleh going to bed. (I wonder how many times I can put "bleh?" in this post?)
-We had a laid back day at school today, which was nice
-I am now past the half way point in "Little Women"
- I worked out
- I got the kids fed and bathed on my own, and said kids are now in bed, early!
- I got to watch an episode of Wizard of Waverly Place when the kids were sleeping (Again, don't judge, I like the show and not ashamed!)
- Since the kids are in bed and my hubby is still not home from the board meeting at school, I am going to make some hot cocoa and spend more time with Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy.
That's about it, but I do feel a bit better all ready.
(Oh, and I promise in my next post I'll update ya'll on my New Year's Goals. So far, so good. I've done the recipes and am making my way through Little Women! More to come...)

Hooray for Little Women! I wonder where my copy is? I've heard a few references to that book lately and want to read it. When time allows. AKA after the wedding in June lol!!
Yay for recognizing bleh days. Because we all have them :)
Maybe bleh is what's going on with me... Even though I did a good amount of housework and stuff like that today, I still feel guilty like I'm failing! I think it might be because I haven't finished the dishes yet, but bleh! You're doing good, and so am I, and we need to not be perfectionists! Good job with reading Little Women. :)
I think it's January in Michigan, and the blehs come with the territory. But if it makes any difference, I think you're incredible, and your kids are well-loved, well-disciplined, well-fed, well-nurtured, and you're an excellent homemaker, wife, and mommy. So surrender to the bleh days, and spend as much time as you can with your cocoa and your books! You deserve it.
It's okay, I have those days too. I spent all day yesterday in my sweats, sweatshirt, and slippers! No reason to get dressed up when you're not going out in the cold...one of the benefits of being a stay at home mommy! =)
Hmm, on Saturday I was crabby, and didn't get anything done, AND I served McDonald's for dinner. So hmm, where does that rank me, I wonder?
I give you props for all you get done w/ all your alone-parenting time with your kids!
