my baby is one

well, today is officially a year and one day old. how times flies is surely the case. i love my dear little boy so much that i am mourning the end of his first year but excitedly anticipating what is in store this next year. never has one little boy caused me so much joy and had me experience so much love. never has one little boy caused me so many sleepless nights and times of frustration. yet, at the end of the day i love him and am so proud to be his mama.

his birthday was full of happiness and fun. we had a little party of which involved ballons (balls!), babies eating cake, a beautiful slideshow of pictures from his first year (shoutout to jason my brother-in-law for making it. thank you!!), food, a "how well do you know james?" quiz (to which mimi won, congrats!), and of course, presents. thanks to all our family and friends who came out. you made his day special! here are some pictures from the day. i didn't take much on my camera, so ya'll have to wait until i get pictures from other people, then i'll post more. but here's what i got:

"balloons!" this is right when he first woke up and discovered that there were balloons and streamers on the ceiling. oh baby delight!

cake!

"haha! i'm eating cake!"

playing with my cousin Lily

nake time! here james and baby david are getting ready to go play in the cake

baby cakes! they didn't really like playing in the cake as much as we thought they would...

nothing like a nake on his birthday! here is james, me, corie, lily, and tessa in the basement

that's all for now! when i get more, i'll put 'em up! thanks everyone for blessing my son and family!
